Tony, Ronni and Aidan

Trust my wife to title the above picture appropriately with her tattoo. And that’s what it’s about. Love.

My friends Tony and Ronni (and Aidan gaining a sibling) are having a baby. And I couldn’t be happier.

Not just because I get to be a part of something this special but because I like having people in my friendship circles I can talk to about such things. And not just talk to but experience certain aspects with them.

Have you ever felt a baby kick? If you are reading this, I am sure you have but I haven’t so please… Allow me to make a big deal about this. It’s scary, funny, weird and cool all at the same time.

I’m shamelessly one of “those people” who rub pregnant women’s bellies with glee when I meet them. But that’s only due to my horrible baby fever (I’m not in a hurry, just really love kids). But I have never actually felt a baby kick from inside the womb. It was pretty cool.

I met TK and Ronni about a year ago through my wife and since then I have come to call them friends of my own. What touches me about these two is their continued, and often tested, ability to share kindness and love with the world. And their newest little edition is, in my opinion, a manifestation of that love.

Then there’s Aidan, who I am currently grooming to take the reigns of nerdism from me. Right from addicting him to Arkham Asylum games to giving him my camera to get a few shots in himself. He has the eye for it.

It has been a rough year for this team. They have suffered hard losses and have had to find ways to get back up and keep going at this thing called life. But through all the adversity they keep rising up and keep going. In fact, as I have come to know Tony and Ronni, it’s their philosophy to take the good and the bad and keep moving forward. That is an inspiration.

I look forward to meeting the wee one. I really do.

I never thought I would enjoy a photoshoot this much, more so my very own maternity shoot. This was clearly the highlight of my rather dramatic pregnancy so far. I love that my friend Andrew was able to ever so poignantly capture my feelings, both past and present! All in all, I am so grateful for all the blessings that God has given me.

  2. Simply written yet profound.

This is my story. I met Tony SK back in the early 2000 or so. We used to attend the same church which was located at City Stadium. We shared the same pew every other Sunday. Thank heaven’s for our spiritual leadership who would encourage the flock to exchange pleasantries and just get to know the other person…the rest is history 🙂

Press the ffwd button, there’s much I can say about this Man. I think I’ve seen him through thick and thin. Celebrating his successes and being there when he was almost down and out. Basically, cheering him on to finish strong or encouraging him when the storm raged. I see Resilience. Patience. Maturity. A capacity to endure hardship. Open-minded. Hardworking/smart, the list is endless

I wish Tony, Ronni, Aidan and baby girl an awesome Life regardless of all the Four Seasons

  3. Wow, that’s so inspiring despite so all odds, TK and Ronni…keep moving on and may our Almighty God sail you thru…Love is the greatest gift above all things…be blessed
